D3 Library and SDK

At the heart of the flexibility of C_wiz is the D3 (data device driver) architecture.

What is a D3

Current D3 Library

All D3s listed below are included with the Evaluation Edition Download.

As D3s are not particularly hard to write, our intention is to provide any D3s developed in the future by ForTotalRecall free of charge. This statement of intent obviously can not cover any D3s written by third parties.

All D3s have inbuilt diagnostics tools, a 60 second trace capability and fully utilize the C_wiz Test Drive facility to provide context sensitive online documentation.

Contact Us if you think we don't have your requirement covered.

ICP DAS 7000(II)

The ICP DAS 7000(II) D3 supplies data to C_wiz from an ICP DAS 7000 module network.

Each instance of the ICP DAS 7000(II) D3 controls one network of ICP DAS 7000 modules comprising a 7563 module connected to 1 or more 7080 and /or 7019 modules via each module's RS485 ports.

There are numerous possible module network configurations ranging from simple to complex.

C_wiz can be supplied with data by multiple instances of the ICP DAS 7000(II) D3, each with their own module network.

The ICP DAS 7563 module is a USB to RS485 converter. The module's USB port is connected to a USB port on the PC and the module's RS485 ports are connected to the 7019 and 7080 module's RS485 ports.

The ICP DAS 7080 module is a data device which measures analog counter/ frequency inputs and communicates with the 7563 module via its RS485 port.

The ICP DAS 7019 module is a data device which measures analog voltages, milliamps and/or thermocouples and communicates with the 7563 module via its RS485 port.

The D3 can be taught how to interpret any readings received and is extremely flexible.

The D3 has an example implementation embedded in its online Test Drive documentation.
