What is it

6 key features

The following key features differentiate C_wiz from any other product that is supposedly offering similar functionality:

      Total flexibility

      Data device drivers (D3s)

      Intelligent data censoring

One of the fundamental problems associated with using data values that originate in some form of analog device is how to decide which ones are important enough to use.

A simplistic approach would be to just use data values at fixed time intervals. The major problem with this approach is that it obviously will regularly miss critical data values and therefore any analyses generated are immediately suspect. Another problem is that it will regularly, and wastefully, use a stream of near identical data values when cruising or at idle, resulting in large history files and heavy traffic on any data transfer mechanism.

The approach adopted in C_wiz is to allow the user to define what data values are important. When a data value is received it is subjected to a censoring algorithm to decide if the data value should be used. The censoring algorithm is a simple progressive filtering process controlled by censor information supplied by the user.
